Our colleague Márta HUNYA represented the HIERD at the 1st meeting of the ET 2020 Working Group on Digital and Online Learning on the 11th and 12th June 2014, in Brussels.

The working group had been formed at the beginning of 2014, with members being appointed for a mandate of 2 years. The objective of the group is to contribute to the achievement of the strategic goals of the EU, mainly through the realisation of a high-quality, innovative education, the reduction of early school leaving and the increasing of the number of tertiary degree holders. The work of the group incorporates all levels of vocational training and education. The Working Group on Digital and Online Learning aims to produce a script entitled Best practices of institutional changes realised in schools for an open and innovative learning environment, a proposition for a quality assurance model for open and innovative learning environments, scripts for content developers and content providers, an overview of regional and national educational websites which provide open source educational materials. The group also set to conduct interviews with key figures of innovative education, and to follow new trends relevant to its field. The work will continue at two-three meetings per year, and webinars in the meantime.
