Director general Dr. József KAPOSI, Márta HANCOCK, director of the Centre for Pedagogical Professional Support, Erika PÁLFI, director of the Centre for Publishing and Communication and Mária PINTÉR-JURKOVICS, Slovak language rapporteur of the HIERD built contact with the Slovakian education research institute Statni pedagogiczky ústay.

The goal of the visit to Bratislava on the 20th February 2014 was to establish professional partnership between the two institutes. On behalf of the SPÚ, Dr. Viliam Kratochvíl presented their institute, which was on the other hand followed by Mr. Kaposi’s talk about the Hungarian Institute for Educational Research and Development. A particular focus was on looking for points of connection, possibilities for cooperation. These latter included propositions like exchange of publications, comparison of the examination methods of textbooks and digital study materials, joint development of textbooks and structural comparative analysis of education programs and the content of education in the two countries.

The conference was held at The Hunfalvy János Bilingual Secondary Vocational School of Economics and Trade of BGSZC.

Student Voice project meeting - Dublin

The second Student Voice project meeting was held in Dublin, Ireland on 18-19th January with the participation of the five partner institutions from Ireland, Scotland, Hungary, Slovenia, and The Netherlands. The purpose of the meeting was to prepare evaluation tools at national and transnational level and plan further steps of the project.

Representatives of the Hungarian Institute for Educational Research and Development (HIERD) Lucia Kákonyi, manager of the Student Voice – The Bridge to Learning project in Hungary, and Gábor Rózsa, IT expert, took part in the first project partnership meeting of the ERASMUS+ Student Voice project which took place in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
